A beautiful story of a unique friendship. A snail wants to see the world and a humpback whale let's her climb onto his tail and takes her on an adventure. When he becomes lost and ends up beached the worried snail races to find help to save her friend.
Written in rhyme and illustrations that help tell the story, The Snail and the Whale portrays not only true friendship but how to treat others. I read this book throughout the year when I was teaching and read it often to my own kids always highlighting how to be a friend, how to be kind and above all, that you can be a friend to anyone no matter how different they are to you.
More suited for ages 3-7 when children are at the beginning of making friendships and learning how to be a friend. This book is longer and the storyline will be more interesting and understood by older children. You will find copies of this book on any online book store and in most book shops.
