The Girl on The Train by Paula Hawkins

July 2, 2015 Kell Ferguson

One of this years Best Sellers and a book I just couldn't out down. Sometimes it can take me up to a month or longer to read a book but this one was finished in three days and if I didn't have kids, it would most definitely have been quicker than that. I had managed to guess the ending but that certainly didn't leave me to relax and take my time finishing the suspenseful book for confirmation I was correct. It is available everywhere so make it your school holiday or weekend book because if you haven't read a book in forever, this will certainly reignite a love for reading!

The story takes place in a town just outside London and between only a handful of characters. I loved this because the simplicity of where it is set and moving between characters isn't a distraction from the story.

Rachel commutes into London everyday on the same morning and afternoon train. As the train slows it's usual pace alongside the suburb of Witney she can't help but look at number 15 where there is the couple "Jason and Jess" living out the perfect life. She doesn't know their real names or that there is so much more to their story than what she can see from her train window. It is not until her past and present issues begin to unfold that her and the perfect couple's life become connected. For what she sees one morning on the train shocks her so much and the events that follow lead her into their life and a twist you cannot imagine.

Enjoy!
